Who I am – Julie Mansfield
My previous experience
Since 2000 I’ve provided Learning and Development and Organisational Development support to teams and organisations across the public sector and in higher education, including Somerset County Council, the University of Bristol, North Somerset Council, Staffordshire County Council, Hampshire County Council and London Councils (who represent the 23 London Boroughs). I have also delivered team facilitation and one-to-one coaching to clients across education, manufacturing, retail, health and voluntary sectors.
I am a Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and a qualified coach with the Institute of Leadership and Management. I am a registered psychometric tester with the British Psychological Society and a licensed Insights Discovery Facilitator. I’m also a Practitioner in Neuro-Linguistic Programming.
I have a passion for coaching others and have experienced myself the invaluable insight that a good coach can bring. Over the years coaching has helped me make some big decisions: I quit a permanent job, travelled the world, set up my own business, started running marathons and returned to my hometown after 20 years away.
I understand how it feels to be lost, unsure, unsettled, frustrated and unfulfilled. But I also know how it feels to take responsibility and start making choices that change life forever and for the better.
Why I do what I do?
As a result, my purpose is to help people escape from the limiting ways of working and thinking that hem us in so that rather than feeling frustrated and limited you recognise the choices available and make active and informed decisions about what next. Whoever I’m working with it’s about ensuring people have the opportunity to stand back, reflect on what is and what isn’t working for them, be clear as to what is important to them, what they want to achieve and how they’re going to get there. It’s about regaining a quality of thinking you may otherwise lose sight of.
